Joel Pomerene Hospital - Joel Pomerene Hospital was made possible by $33,750 from the Roosevelt Administration's Federal Emergency Relief Administration. These fund added to the fund started the Joel Pomerene family gave Holmes County its Hospital
Holmes Wayne Electric - The Holmes Wayne Electric Coop was the result of the 1935 Rural Electrification Act of FDR"s New Deal. Roosevelt's program brought electricity to the rural areas of the country and to the countryside of Holmes County.
Soil and Water Conservation District - The Soil and Water Conservation Districts were the outgrowth of the the Soil Conservation Service set up in the 1930's during the Franklin Roosevelt Administration
Schools and School Additions - Many area schools made additions to their buildings with funds made possible by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. Holmesville School, Nashville School, are just two of many additions still serving our communities.
